Using this service
Money, Then What? is operated by Geoffrey Surprenant. By using the site or My Money Map, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What we provide
We offer educational financial tools, calculators, automated tools that help you compare choices, estimated results, My Money Map, and What If comparisons. They can help you understand information you enter, compare reasonable options, and consider tradeoffs.
Professional services and decisions
We are not a law firm or legal advice service, tax or accounting advice service, investment advice service, financial adviser or planner, fiduciary, credit-repair service, lender, debt-settlement service, or professional creditor-negotiation service. Using this service does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, investment-adviser, financial-adviser, or fiduciary relationship. You remain responsible for your own decisions and can seek qualified professional help when appropriate.
What estimates are based on
Outputs depend on the information you enter. Inaccurate or incomplete information can change the results. Rates, fees, creditor rules, income, expenses, account terms, and circumstances can change. We do not guarantee any payoff date, interest savings, credit-score change, approval, savings outcome, or other financial result.
Information you submit
Enter only information a feature needs. Do not enter or upload unnecessary Social Security numbers, passwords, bank credentials, full payment-card or bank-account numbers, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive data. Do not use another person’s account or data without authorization, interfere with the site or its security, or use the service unlawfully.
Paid My Money Map
Standard membership is $39/year. Founding Member pricing is $29/year for the first 500 successful paying members while positions remain available. These annual prices include applicable indirect tax. There is no monthly plan. Membership renews automatically each year unless canceled. Cancellation prevents the next renewal, and access continues through the already-paid term. The Founder price continues only while the original subscription remains continuously active. If canceled and later restarted, the then-current price applies; a claimed Founder position remains used even after cancellation or refund. Our 7-day money-back guarantee applies to the initial paid subscription purchase only, not annual renewals. This guarantee does not limit refunds or rights that Stripe, Link, or applicable law may provide. For refund requests or billing and cancellation questions, contact support@moneythenwhat.com.
Managed Payments
Money, Then What? and Geoffrey Surprenant provide and operate the software. For My Money Map purchases through Stripe Managed Payments, Stripe through Link acts as merchant of record and handles transaction processing, applicable covered indirect-tax compliance, fraud and disputes, and transaction-level support. This does not cover every tax obligation or Geoffrey Surprenant’s business and income taxes.
Service providers
Features may depend on third-party services, including Clerk for sign-in, Stripe for billing, Cloudflare and Workers AI for hosting and bill processing, and PostHog for limited analytics when configured. Their handling of information is also subject to their services and settings. See our Privacy Policy.
Content, availability, and limits
The site software and original content belong to the operator or their licensors. You may use the service for its intended personal purposes. Features may change or occasionally be interrupted or unavailable. We work to provide useful tools, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free estimates, or a particular financial outcome. You are responsible for checking important information before acting on it.
